Fender Stratocaster Sonic Blue

This Stratocaster is an example of the Sonic Blue Stratocasters that were used by John Lennon and George Harrison on Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds, Getting Better, I Am The Walrus, and almost all of the Magical Mystery Tour album, but rarely did we see them played live. In early April of 1967, just after finishing the recording of The Beatles “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band“, George Harrison took his 1962 Sonic Blue Fender Stratocaster home and transformed it into ‘Rocky’, using Dayglo enamel paint and as well as some of his ex-wife Patti Boyd’s nail polish. The Analogues have decided to leave it just as it is. (Firstly, we like the color; Secondly, painting it would devaluate it completely).
